I have been designing and making jewellery in my workshop in Buckfastleigh since 2009.
The beautiful Devon countryside that I have grown up in forms the ideal setting for creativity and I take much of my inspiration from my surroundings from Dartmoor to the coast. Museum pieces from Saxon and Roman times capture my imagination and the Art Nouveau era has been a big influence on my recent work, especially the flowing lines of the Czech decorative artist Alfons Mucha.
All my work is hand made using traditional tools, I enjoy experimenting with new techniques, using new materials and researching historical designs which have provided me with a constant flow of ideas. The designing and making process will often evolve as a piece develops, the end result being a unique piece of art.
I have taken great pleasure in designing and creating the pieces on display here and hope you enjoy them too. I am also happy to take commissions.
