As a Child Miranda was brought up in a small seaside town in Kent. At 11 Years old her talent as an artist was recognised and she was encouraged to draw and paint a portfolio to get her into Art School.
She always wanted to be a full time painter and won a scholarship to Dartington College of Arts. It was there that she found her own style and started to paint full time—and has never stopped. It was at Dartington she discovered her love for landscape painting and developed a strong talent for pattern within her work.
In between leaving school and completing her degree she was invited to the famous Catalonian fishing village of Cadaques, Costa Brava, Northern Spain. Here she associated with noted artists—Richard Hamilton, Robert Venosa and Salvador Dali, living for a year absorbing the beauty of the place and painting. She continued to visit often over a 20 year period. On completing her first painting in Cadaques the noted artist Dieter Roth bought it straight away.
Her works consist of landscapes, working to a high quality. Original, classically drawn with contemporary vision, with an emphasis on colour.
Currently she is working in oils on canvas. Her paintings are also reproduced as limited edition Giclee prints. She now lives in totnes, in South West England. She continues to paint full time producing work which sells internationally. She sells privately as well as having exhibitions.
